A Fellow CPA, Johanne Turbide has been Secretary General at HEC Montréal since 2019. She serves as the institution’s lead advisor on equity, diversity and inclusion. She oversees the development and implementation of various policies and tools to promote sound governance.
For seven years, Johanne Turbide served as Director of Sustainable Development at HEC Montréal. Passionate about social and environmental issues, she believes that protecting the environment and biodiversity is essential to a successful transition. She is actively involved with cultural and community organizations, supporting them in implementing management tools tailored to their specific contexts.
Throughout her career, her teaching and primary research have focused on various aspects of governance, strategic management and financial management in non-profit organizations. She has led numerous research projects funded by research agencies and government ministries. These projects have resulted in several partnerships with community and cultural organizations. Numerous guides, articles and management tools have been developed and published as a result.
