François Rio ux has been a lecturer in HEC Montréal’s DESS, BBA and MBA programs since 2013, and won the School’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2018. His areas of expertise include entrepreneurship and innovation, organizational design, and small- and medium-sized enterprises. He teaches courses in these subjects at HEC Montréal in both French and English.

François has led numerous workshops on a broad range of topics, from communication to business transfer, and has also taught at China’s Chongqing Technology and Business University. He is a frequent judge at academic and business competitions. François graduated from the École nationale de l’humour before going on to earn his EMBA . He shares his business acumen with passion and clarity in all of his lectures and speaking engagements. His take on entrepreneurship is fresh and compelling, incorporating anecdotes and lessons learned from his many years of experience.

Until recently, François was co-owner and president of Brimaclo Property Management Inc. and Edphy International, where he was primarily responsible for strategic vision, and local and international development. He remains active in the business world as an investor.
