Marc Leclair joined the family business in 1994 after earning a BSc. in Economics from the University of Colorado and an MBA from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Wanting to experience and understand all aspects of the business, he started on the night shift in one of the company's Montreal plants. Over the next 17 years, he assumed roles of increasing responsibility in various areas of the company before eventually succeeding his father Jacques as President in 2011.

Founded in 1954, St. Johns Packaging is a vertically integrated manufacturer of flexible packaging products designed for the food and consumer product industries. Today, the company employs more than 900 people and operates wholly-owned subsidiaries in Canada, the United States, Mexico, the UK, China, and Vietnam.
