Jean-François Harvey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at HEC Montréal where he teaches Organizational Design at the MBA level and Learning and Innovation at the PhD level.
Prior to joining the faculty, he completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Business School and was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on how individuals, teams, and organizations learn and adapt in ambiguous and uncertain contexts.
With Amy Edmondson (Harvard Business School), he co-authored Extreme Teaming (2017), a book presenting findings from a multiple-case study on this very topic. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as Academy of Management Annals, Administrative Science Quarterly, and Journal of Applied Psychology, contributing to both theory and practice. He is also a consultant for both public and private organizations worldwide.
