For more than 11 years, David Castrillon has led Projet Inclusion, a Montréal-based nonprofit organization committed to the principles of autonomous community action. There, he applies complexity thinking to foster the creation of socially intelligent organizations. At the same time, he advises organizations and projects from a systemic and complexity-based perspective. He has chaired the RIOCM, RACOR and the CDC de Rosemont, Montréal-based networks working in community action, mental health and collaboration, and has contributed to evaluation mandates for multilateral organizations such as the United Nations.
He has also shared his thinking through various publications, including articles published in revue Gestion HEC Montréal, addressing the management of organizational contradictions, mental health in the workplace, alternative approaches to planning, and systemic models of human needs applied to the evaluation of social projects. He advocates for a relational and collective understanding of organizational issues rather than an individualizing approach.
His career was also shaped in Colombia, where he worked as an entrepreneur and management consultant, and later as a lecturer in management and communications. He holds a master’s degree in social innovation management from HEC Montréal.
