Mrs. Olola Vieyra is an executive with more than 20 years of experience. She previously served as a Technical Advisor in the Office of the President of Benin, where she contributed to the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Government Action Plan 2016-2021 (USD 16 billion). She also served as a board member of several national agencies, contributing to a remarkable increase in the transformation rate of the country's development programmes.
Prior to this role, she managed an international partnership focused on implementing mini-grid solutions in several villages in Benin, with the objective of reaching 80,000 energy access connections by 2026.
In previous positions, she led several international initiatives related to information systems, energy efficiency and access, environmental sustainability, and water scarcity. She collaborated with organizations including the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Since January 2022, as Country Representative of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Côte d’Ivoire, she has been supporting the Government of Côte d’Ivoire in developing green growth policies, mobilizing financing for green investment projects, and strengthening capacities for green growth implementation. While leading the operational activities of the country programme, she is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the local team in pursuit of GGGI’s vision of strong, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth.
She holds an Executive Education certificate in Public Finance from Harvard Kennedy School, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from HEC Montréal, and dual master's degrees in Public Administration from Sciences Po Paris and Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. She is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and President of the PMI Benin Chapter.
She is fluent in French and English and has a working knowledge of German.
