Vice President, Government and Industry Affairs, Bombardier
Pierre Seïn Pyun was appointed Vice President, Government and Industry Affairs, at Bombardier in October 2011.
As such, he is responsible for government affairs for Bombardier in Canada and internationally. His team also manages industry affairs for the company.
A lawyer by training, he has a significant background in international trade, having served with the Canadian government from 1998 to 2011. Prior to joining Bombardier, he managed sector practices and developed and implemented global commercial strategies for the federal government in Ottawa. He worked at a series of Canadian diplomatic posts in China from 2001 to 2009, including as a Senior Trade Commissioner at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing.
He holds degrees in civil law and common law from McGill University and completed a certificate in international business at HEC Montreal. He is fluent in English, French, Mandarin and Korean.
He sits on the boards of several organizations, including the Fondation J. Armand Bombardier , the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (as the Chair), the Canadian American Business Council, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, Canada Arab Business Council and the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations. He is also a lecturer (case studies) at the Max Bell School of Public Policy at McGill University.
