Michel Patry is currently the President and CEO of the HEC Montréal Foundation and Professor Emeritus at HEC Montréal. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and an MSc in Applied Economics from HEC Montréal. He previously served as Director of HEC Montréal (from September 2006 to June 2019) and was a Full Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at HEC Montréal.
Michel Patry has been a board member for numerous Canadian and international organizations. He currently serves on the boards of SCALE AI, NEXT Canada, Academics Without Borders (AWB), and the St. James Club (Montreal). He is also a member of the advisory boards of HEC Montréal and Executive Education HEC Montréal, serving as Chair.
An expert in organizational and regulatory economics, Professor Patry has published over 100 research papers of a scientific and professional nature. He has also acted as a consultant for numerous private and public organizations.
