Michel Mainville has a bachelor’s degree in business computing from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a master’s of business administration from HEC Montréal. In 2017, he earned an award for excellence in teaching from HEC Montréal, where he lectures in digital transformation, enterprise architecture and business process management.

Prior to joining HEC Montréal, he worked for Hydro-Québec’s IT department in several management-level positions. He oversaw a number of complex projects aimed at rolling out computer systems to automate critical functions in energy production, transportation and distribution, as well as customer service and energy efficiency.

His main areas of interest lie in business architecture, organizational transformation through business process management and change management.
