A passionate advocate of culture and the arts, Dominique Lapierre has been Executive Director of Théâtre de la Ville since 2021. After completing law degrees at McGill University, Dominique began her career in business law at Borden Ladner Gervais.

She then joined Telefilm Canada in 2002 and, over the next 17 years, held the positions of Legal Counsel (Feature Film Unit); Deputy Director (Television, French Market); Director (French Market), Canada Media Fund (CMF) Program Administrator; and lastly National Director, CMF Program Administrator.

Dominique is a high-level manager who is known for her engaging and collaborative leadership style. She believes strongly in giving back to the community and has been involved with the Montreal Diet Dispensary for 14 years, including three years as Chair of the Board of Directors. Thanks to her experience on various boards, she obtained her chartered director (ASC) certification from the Collège des administrateurs de société in March 2022. She currently sits on three boards, as well as on PVP Media Group’s advisory committee as a representative for Desjardins Capital.
