Russell Fralich is Associate Professor of Strategy at HEC Montréal, Canada. He is a member of Pôle D (Research group on executives and strategy), European M&A Institute, and serves on the editorial board of Long Range Planning, the International Journal of Strategic Management.
His research examines how social judgments and early life experiences of executives affect the quality of their strategic choices and the performance of their organizations.
His research has been published in journals such as Journal of Management Studies, Long Range Planning, Asian Business & Management, among others. His research is supported by research grants from the SSHRC. Before switching his career path to academia, he worked in the aerospace and telecommunications industries in a wide range of engineering and management roles. He is also a published thriller author, and an avid volunteer promoting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) to high school and university students in his local community.
