Chief Sustainability, Human Rights and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer, L’Oréal Canada

Maya Colombani has been L’Oréal Canada’s Chief Sustainability, Human Rights and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer since September 2025. She is the driving force behind the organization’s sustainability transformation within the framework of the “L’Oréal for the Future” program, with an emphasis on decarbonization, circularity, social inclusion and nature regeneration, in partnership with Indigenous communities and cleantech startups.

Since arriving at L’Oréal in 2001, she has built an international career, notably through marketing positions in Europe, India and Brazil. She was appointed Director of Sustainable Development for L’Oréal Brazil in 2016. In this capacity, she launched a series of innovative initiatives that were singled out by UN Women, Guia Exame and GLOBO for special awards.

In 2022, she became L’Oréal Canada’s Chief Sustainability and Human Rights Officer. The impactful projects she led in this role earned her a prestigious Clean50 award (2024), Top 25 ESG leadership award (2024) and Mercure award (2025).

She is a graduate of the Neoma Business School in Reims and is currently working with First Nations Executive Education, in addition to serving as the president of the Positive Impact Club of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Canada.
