Jean-Marc Chouinard is internationally respected for his expertise in partnership development, public policy, strategic philanthropy, and social and organizational transformation.

He has a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in urban planning. During his time with the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation, where he served as President from 2016 to 2022, he played an active role in expanding the foundation’s reach and impact. Earlier in his career, he was Vice-President and Senior Associate of Groupe DBSF, liaising with more than 60 community, public, philanthropic and private organizations between 1993 and 2001.

A sought-after consultant and speaker, he is currently working with several organizations committed to promoting equitable and inclusive development, including the boards of Centraide of Greater Montreal and the Lawson Foundation.
