Nancy is a seasoned senior leader, recognized as people-minded, purpose-driven and resilient, with extensive experience gained in the top ranks of organizations among the largest and most complex in Canada, where she was responsible for the vision, strategy and execution of operations, digitalization, people management, and policy.
She has an established track record in providing advice and hands-on insights to the most senior heads of public institutions and government in Canada. After more than a decade in executive roles in the Province of Quebec and in Ottawa, she served close to 5 years in the Deputy Minister ranks at the Canada Revenue Agency, Treasury Board Secretariat, and National Defence.
Nancy has spearheaded transformation initiatives in dynamic contexts, improving results in part through high-performance teams, strategic foresight, effective governance, and an inclusive and accountable culture. Specifically, she led the design and implementation of key strategic, high-visibility initiatives, including: the future of work and talent management, greening government operations, major IT and Defence procurement, and Real Property investments.
She successfully led multi-billion dollar projects impacting stakeholders with competing interests, such as: securing the renewal of collective agreements with 18 unions for close to 300 000 employees; advancing the multi-year rehabilitation of the Parliament buildings while safeguarding operations of Government; modernizing and downsizing one of the broadest office portfolio in Canada; overseeing contractor performance under the National Shipbuilding Strategy and Defence fleet renewal contracts; and, managing partners’ agreements in support of the Space Program.
In addition to her role within the governance of the organizations she led, Nancy has sat on multiple government-wide Committees, including ones responsible for the performance and talent management of senior executives. She cumulates more than 13 years of experience as a Director and Chair of Corporate and Not-for-Profit Boards, where she piloted client experience revamp and improved governance, performance oversight, and risk management.
Since 2022, Nancy provides strategic and professional advisory services to leaders of organizations and emerging leaders. Her multiple speaking engagements focus on public service modernization, and on inclusive and ethical leadership.
She holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance & Management from L’École des Hautes Études Commerciales. She has also completed the McGill University-Rotman Corporate Directors Education Program.
