Nancy Chahwan advises internationally respected firms on transformation, governance and organizational performance initiatives. She regularly shares her insights with executives and MBA candidates in Canada and around the world.
She draws on a distinguished career in the Canadian civil service, first [SS1.1]in Quebec and later in Ottawa, working within the upper ranks of the Canada Revenue Agency, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and the Department of National Defence. Leveraging her talents in strategy and governance, she has led complex transformations related to the future of work, operational digitalization, defence procurement and large-scale engineering projects. As the Chief Human Resources Officer for all federal public servants, she played a key role during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a strong focus on ensuring the continuity of services as well as upholding equity, diversity and inclusion.
A graduate of ICD’s Directors Education Program, she has over 15 years of experience chairing and serving on various boards and governance committees.
