Originally from Benin, Leonidas Assogba has 17 years of experience in finance, risk management and governance working with such prominent organizations as Bank of America, Laurentian Bank, Royal Bank of Canada, Olymel and Richter. He is currently a strategic advisor with the Desjardins Security Office, where he contributes to asset protection and organizational resilience.

He has an impressive list of professional and academic credentials earned at institutions in several countries[SS4.1], including George Mason University (certificate of proficiency in English and American culture), HEC Montréal (graduate degree in professional accounting — DESS-CPA, and certificate in organizational accounting management), Université de Sherbrooke (MBA, specializing in financial forensics and fraud investigation) and Harvard University (executive program in cybersecurity risk management).

A passionate governance advocate, he is a chartered director (C.Dir.–ASC) and has served on the boards of Centraide of Greater Montreal, the Centre for the Prevention of Radicalization Leading to Violence and the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Montreal, where he is a past chair of the audit committee. He currently sits on the board of Éduc’alcool and is a member of the audit and risk management committee.
