Drawing on over 20 years of experience in asset management, capital markets and commercial banking, Paul-Harry Aithnard has served as the Managing Director of Ecobank Côte d’Ivoire and UEMOA’s Regional Executive since 2018.
Prior to this, he was Ecobank’s Group Head, Securities, Wealth and Asset Management, where he successfully grew assets under management to $1 billion. As a result of these efforts, Ecobank was named the best performing broker in Africa by Africa Investor Magazine in 2015. He served as Ecobank’s Group Head of Research from 2008 to 2014. Under his leadership, the Research Division was recognized as the best research team in Africa for three years in a row (2011, 2012 and 2013).
Between 2000 and 2008, he occupied various positions with BBSP, a leading investment advisory firm located in Paris, Montreal and Singapore, including Global Head of Commodities and Co-Head of Global Macro Advisory.
He holds a master’s degree in history from Sorbonne Paris IV along with a postgraduate degree in business administration (DESS) and a master’s degree in finance from HEC Montréal.
