Serge Lafrance, Director of Executive Education HEC Montréal, has been elected to the Board of Directors of UNICON, a prestigious global consortium of 115 business-school-based executive education organizations with members on five continents.
Lafrance won a seat on the board in April for a six-year term beginning in July. He had already been serving as co-chair of the UNICON Benchmarking Committee since 2021.
The purpose of this committee is to analyze market trends and define best practices in executive education.
“It’s an honour to be on the UNICON Board of Directors and to work alongside the leaders of some of the world’s leading business schools,” said Lafrance. “I will proudly represent Executive Education HEC Montréal and promote our expertise in the field, and bring back what I learn from interacting with this international community.”In addition to his role as the Director of Executive Education, Lafrance is an associate professor at HEC Montréal. He is also a respected authority in business management and growth, marketing strategies and market development.
Executive Education HEC Montréal has been an active member of UNICON since 2018. Other prominent members of the consortium include Harvard Business School, HEC Paris, London Business School, MIT Sloan School of Management and Stanford University.
