Executive Education HEC Montréal is proud to partner with the White Rose Scholarships Leadership Week, an initiative stemming from Polytechnique Montréal Order of the White Rose program. As part of this collaboration, a custom women’s leadership development program was co-created under the pedagogical leadership of Dominique Anglade and her team.
Experiencing significant growth since 2025, the White Rose Scholarships have expanded their support by now offering recipients a leadership journey designed to help them reach their full potential and prepare them to become the leaders of tomorrow.
The white roses honour the memory of the 14 young women who lost their lives during the tragedy of December 6, 1989, at Polytechnique Montréal. Created in 2014, the White Rose Scholarships aim to support 14 women engineering students across Canada who wish to pursue graduate studies at the institution of their choice, in Canada or elsewhere in the world.
A Partnership Rooted in Memory and the Future
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to supporting the next generation of women engineers and helping them fully develop their leadership potential.
As a member of the Polytechnique Montréal alumni community, this initiative is particularly meaningful to me. We are very proud that Executive Education HEC Montréal was chosen to contribute to this project rooted in both memory and the future. As a leading business school, we have an important role to play in advancing women’s leadership, and we are honoured to put our expertise at the service of this exceptional next generation.
The program, composed of three half-day sessions, will be delivered over a two-year period as part of the Leadership Week organized by Polytechnique Montréal.
Cultivating the Leadership of the Next Generation
The 14 recipients of the Order of the White Rose Scholarships stand out for the excellence of their academic journeys, their cutting-edge research projects, and their remarkable social engagement. Their ambitions notably include artificial intelligence applied to healthcare, space technologies, biomedical engineering, sustainability, and inclusive innovation.
The Order of the White Rose Scholarships brings together a strong community united by a shared ambition: encouraging women in engineering to think boldly, become tomorrow’s leaders, and create lasting impact on society in their own way. HEC Montréal is a valuable partner in the design and delivery of this journey, created to help our brilliant scholarship recipients fully develop their potential.
A Deep Connection to Her Alma Mater
As an engineer and graduate of Polytechnique Montréal, this initiative touches me deeply. Through this partnership, we want to empower these young women, build their confidence, and strengthen their ability to mobilize others. This is a concrete contribution to the emergence of a strong new generation of women leaders ready to shape the future. What a source of pride.
Through workshops, peer exchanges, and practical simulations, the program aims to strengthen participants’ confidence, influence, and ability to navigate complex and multidisciplinary environments.
A Shared Ambition for the Future
This Leadership Week reflects our desire to spark a movement that comes from the heart. Thanks to the commitment, generosity, and mobilization of our community and partners, our 14 recipients were able to build a strong cohort spirit, expand their leadership toolbox, and create lasting connections.
This new collaboration between HEC Montréal and Polytechnique Montréal reflects a shared ambition: honouring the memory of the 14 women who lost their lives by contributing concretely to the emergence of a strong, confident new generation of women leaders ready to transform the future.
