Joé T. Martineau is a professor of ethical management in HEC Montréal’s Department of Management.
She researches, teaches and consults on matters of ethics and governance affecting organizations in the private, public and healthcare sectors. In particular, she has studied the content of ethics programs, the diversity of ethical management practices in organizations and the various factors that influence ethical thought and behaviour in corporate environments. More recently, she has become interested in organizational neuroethics and empathy in management as well as the challenges in ethics and governance arising from public participation in health research and administration.
She is an associate member of the Pragmatic Health Ethics Research Unit at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM), a regular member of the Université Laval’s Institut d’éthique appliquée (IDÉA) and a regular member of the Observatoire international sur les impacts sociétaux de l’IA et du numérique (OBVIA).
