After spending many years in corporate banking, Jacques Lemay joined HEC Montréal as a guest professor. His areas of expertise include financing, mergers and acquisitions in equity markets, standards and regulatory aspects of financial markets, and corporate financial strategy. He has led many corporate financing transactions on the Canadian and international equity markets. At HEC Montréal, he has taught courses in corporate finance in the MBA program, venture capital at the MSc level and ethics, governance and financial regulatory oversight at the undergraduate.

He is the director of the Department of Finance and serves on HEC Montréal’s pension committee and research ethics board. Since 2020, he has also been the co-academic leader of the Certification of Ethics and Compliance program offered by Executive Education HEC Montréal.
