In his capacity as CIO at Dollarama, Nicolas Hien oversees the IT function and the Project Management Office as well as efforts to expand Dollarama’s international footprint. He is in charge of all major IT, retail, distribution, logistics and other projects in the company’s stores and in its distribution and warehousing facilities. He is also responsible for managing global activities, including the 650 stores operating under the Dollarcity banner in Latin America and The Reject Shop’s 400 locations across Australia.

Before joining Dollarama in September 2012, he was Senior Manager, Advisory Services, at KPMG LLP, after KPMG acquired the consulting firm where he had served as a partner and project director since 2008. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in operations management, and a master’s degree in logistics from HEC Montréal.

He is very involved in the community, sitting on the boards of the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation and the Bruny Surin Foundation. He is also an angel investor with a portfolio of companies focused on the tech, real estate and sports sectors.
