The “Gagnez votre place au sommet” contest (hereinafter, the “Contest”) is organized by Executive Education HEC Montréal (hereinafter, the “Organizer”). It begins at noon (Quebec time) on January 20, 2025, and ends at 11:59 p.m. (Quebec time) on March 16, 2025, the entry deadline.
Eligibility
The Contest is open to professionals, executives, managers and leaders who want to enhance their professional skills. Entrants must live and work in Quebec and be able to show at least 5 years of job market experience.
Incomplete or inaccurate information, or information that is sent after the Contest period or that is not compliant with the rules, may not be used to qualify the Contest winner.
The Organizer’s employees or anyone involved in the organization of the Contest, as well as their immediate families and anyone with whom said employees or those involved in the organization of the contest are domiciled, may not enter the Contest. For the purposes of these rules, “immediate family” includes father, mother, siblings, children, husband, wife and de facto spouse.
Prize description
The prize is a single course of your choosing, up to a maximum value of CA$10,000, from our unique executive education portfolio.
Prize restrictions
The prize is not transferable or assignable, may not be surrendered for cash, except as otherwise stated herein, and must be accepted as awarded. No exchange shall be authorized, except at the sole discretion of the Organizer, who reserves the right to substitute a prize for another of equivalent or greater value. The chance of winning this prize depends upon the number of eligible entries received during the Contest period.
Terms of entry
No purchase is required. To enter the Contest, simply visit the Organizer’s website (https://ed-form.hec.ca/concours/gagnez-la-formation-de-votre-choix) or the Concours space at La Presse (lapresse.ca/nosconcours), complete the official entry form and answer the required questions during the Contest period.
Contest entrants must then click the button to accept the rules, followed by the button to submit the entry form. By submitting an entry, you acknowledge having read and agreeing to follow the official Contest rules.
To enter the Contest, you must complete the fields on the form marked with an asterisk or otherwise indicated as required. The other information requested is useful, but you are not required to provide it to enter the Contest. In order to be valid, entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (Quebec time) on March 16, 2025.
There is a limit of one Contest entry per person for the duration of the Contest. Anyone who enters or attempts to enter more than once, or who uses robotic, automatic, mechanical or other means to enter that are unauthorized under these rules will be automatically disqualified.
No entry will be accepted after the deadline for any reason whatsoever. Entries received after the deadline will be rejected.
Draw
The winner will be selected randomly from among all eligible entries, as set out in the Eligibility section of these rules. The draw will take place at the Organizer’s offices, located at 501 De La Gauchetière Street West, Montreal, Quebec, at 2 p.m. (Quebec time) on March 19, 2025.
Designation of the winner
The winner will be informed by email or phone about the prize offered. The Organizer will contact the winner within 5 business days following the draw. If the Organizer is unable to reach that person within 5 days following the draw, a second draw will take place, and so on, until the prize is awarded.
The winner’s name will be announced on the Organizer’s website and social media platforms. By entering the Contest, the winner consents to having their name and photo made public.
General terms and conditions
The Organizer shall not incur any liability for any problem, including but without limiting the foregoing: a technical problem, a malfunction or failure of computer systems, whether online or not, resulting from the Contest application, servers, software or any other problem resulting directly or indirectly from a virus, a computer worm, a bug or a failure when the Organizer sends emails.
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Contest or to modify the rules should inaccurate information or a technical failure threaten the integrity of the Contest.
Consent for the official rules and privacy policy
By entering the Contest, you acknowledge having read these official rules and agree to respect them and the Organizer’s decisions, which are not subject to appeal and are binding for all entries. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, identifying information you submit as part of the Contest will be used for administering the Contest, selecting the prize winner and awarding said prize.
By providing your information, you are signing up for our mailing list and agree to have the Organizer communicate with you*.
Participating in the Contest and your consent to participate and comply with these rules are governed by the relevant laws of the province of Quebec and federal laws of Canada. In submitting your entry form, you agree to be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Quebec courts.
