Adjunct Professor, HEC Montréal, Director, CDL-Montreal, and Executive Director, Scale AI

Julien Billot is Executive Director of Scale AI, Canada’s artificial intelligence supercluster, adjunct professor at HEC Montréal, and the Montréal lead for Next AI and the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL): 2 transformational programs contributing to the launch and growth of AI startups.

He previously served as CEO of the Yellow Pages Group; Executive Vice President and Head of Media at Solocal Group; Head of the Digital and New Business Group at Lagardère Active, in addition to holding various senior management roles during his 13 years with Orange/France Telecom.

He contributes his extensive experience in AI, marketing, digital business transformation, media and telecommunications on a number of boards of directors in both the private and not-for-profit sectors, including the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer. Julien Billot is a graduate of École Polytechnique (Paris) and Telecom Paris Tech. He holds a postgraduate diploma (DEA) in Industrial Economics from the University of Paris-Dauphine-PSL.
